Engobes are clay based ceramic colours which give solid coverage on large surfaces and are easy to use. All engobes can be used both on greenware and bisque.
PREPARATION-APPLICATION-FIRING
Shake well before use. If necessary dilute with water. Apply 1-3 even coats to mature 04 bisque. Application by brush or sponge; suitable for sgrafitto tooling. Can be left unglazed to achieve their matte finish.
Firing temperature 950°-1000°C (Orton cone SSB 08-06).
